"It all began with a return to Nepal in 1999. The plan was to continue east, but our interest and love for this amazing country kept us there. We saw how the Nepalese felt. We wanted to combine simple Danish design with this fantastic raw and rustic fabric, and the idea of ​​"Én Gry & Sif" was born."

'Én' means 'one - and only one' in Danish. All Én Gry & Sif products are handmade, so there is only one of each, as there are always small differences in each product.
Én Gry & Sif is Danish design , but all products are handmade in Nepal by highly skilled workers. All products are made from pure natural wool from New Zealand.
It is mainly women who are supported by Gry & Sif through their work, as it has been shown that women are best able to ensure that the income benefits the families.
In 2009, Én Gry & Sif received Fair Trade certification from the World Fair Trade Organization.

All our products are handmade from 100% wool, and the wool is sourced from New Zealand. All our products are works of art in their own right, as the product requires many hours of labor and hard work—so each product automatically contains a piece of soul.
Felting is an ancient technique. Warm soapy water is added to the wool, and by pressing and rubbing the wool, the fibers become a felted textile. Gradually, as the fibers contract, you begin to create a Christmas stocking or other object in the desired shape. If the decorative bird, heart, etc. is made in more than one color, simply add that color.
During processing, the item is wet. When it's as desired, it's dried. The product can then be decorated with embroidery, flowers, beads, etc.—everything is done by hand.
