Maria Regina Kaiser , Ph.D., born in Trier in 1952, studied ancient history, archaeology, and Spanish studies in Frankfurt am Main. After completing her doctorate, she worked in research until 1986, and from 1987 to 1991, she worked as an editor at an academic publishing house. Today, she is a freelance author, primarily of historical novels and highly acclaimed biographies.
