Specifically developed as a universal tool for military use, this knife won Knivsmed Strømeng a Europe-wide tender.
The knife is deeply rooted in Sami culture and way of life. To this day, the Sami knife remains a practical tool. Knivsmed Strømeng has been forging in Karasjok (Norway) this knife.
Currently, the sixth generation of knife makers in the Strømeng family continues production. The workshop, salesroom, and exhibition are located in a modern building on the outskirts of Karasjok. Here, the knife takes center stage, and the premises have become a tourist attraction.
The blades are manufactured using state-of-the-art technology, ensuring consistently high quality during the hardening process.
It is not without reason that the elite unit of the Norwegian army has acquired Sänn knives with finger protection for its soldiers.
