For many years, we offered Taigakoru jewelry from Lapland in our shop. At the beginning of 2022, the owner retired, and it seemed that this would be the end of Taigakoru.
But fortunately there is now a sequel: Paja 1605 Oy
They write on their website:
"' Let two goldsmiths, three blacksmiths, two tanners, three tailors and three shoemakers settle in the city of Oulu, as well as a carpenter, a painter, a chamois maker, a milliner and all other craftsmen who can earn their living there.'
The vision of the workshops is to preserve traditional craftsmanship and create a communal workshop for creators, both for their own work and for collaborative work. We want to share information and knowledge about goldsmithing and offer work spaces and tools to those interested in the craft.
And currently on Taigakoru:
" Paja 1605 has acquired the business of Taigakoru Oy and continues the more than 40-year history of the renowned company. The workshop has begun producing and selling beloved jewelry. "
