Claudia Laermann studied fashion design in Hamburg. She then worked at Jil Sander, where she gained her first design experience and was responsible for design and yarn selection for many years. She later launched her own knitwear collection and worked as a freelance designer for national and international labels, including Prada and Iris von Arnim. Her passion for hand knitting shaped her career choice as a teenager and has accompanied her ever since.
