Lapland silver jewelry has a centuries-long history. Jewelry featuring traditional Sami ornaments is still in use today.
When the sun reappeared in the sky after the long winter, it cast a glow over the reindeer herds. It became bright again, and it caused grass and grain to grow again. For the Sami, it was therefore sacred.
