Just get out, get out, live in a tent in the forest somewhere far away from everything.
What for most of us is at most a longing thought in stressful times, Johannes Likar actually put into practice: He lived all alone in the untouched and rugged Swedish wilderness - on an island in the middle of a lake.
Accompanied by atmospheric photographs, we accompany Johannes through a year full of unexpected adventures and wonderful encounters with people who became companions and friends. Through the changing seasons, the beauty of sunsets in the pristine silence, and the practical challenges of life in nature. And through the cold, the loneliness, the doubts. Profound, but also filled with plenty of humor and always brutally honest, this book is a travel guide to one's own longing.
