A knife model developed by Janne Marttiini in the 1930s.
The Ilves 131 is the oldest knife model in the Ilves series and has been part of Marttiini's core product range for almost 80 years. The past decades have not diminished its popularity as the king of all-purpose knives; this knife remains one of the best-selling knife models.
More than four million Ilves series knives have already been produced.
A traditional curly birch handle combines with the legendary sharp Ilves blade, whose design features a pan hook at the tip. The design and decorations on the sheath reflect Marttiini's strong Nordic heritage.
An excellent all-purpose knife for all outdoor activities!
Packed in a gift box.
Each piece is unique from Finland
The knives of this Rovaniemi-based family business are made from selected materials and follow ancient craftsmanship traditions. They are still produced there today for the daily needs of the Sami people. For them, the knife is the most important universal tool for carving, cutting, and chopping firewood.
This daily use – often under extremely harsh conditions – is the best proof of the quality of these knives.
