Scandi sweaters and their colorful knit patterns are as popular as ever! Made from sturdy yarns of Icelandic, Norwegian, or Finnish sheep's wool, they are warm and comfortable to wear. The variations in colors and motifs are endless.
This creative knitting book brings together the ideas of eight Finnish knitting pattern designers, who share their very own interpretations of the lopapeysa, the traditional Icelandic sweater. Inspired by nature, foxes, and Viking ships, the Icelandic sweater is presented in both traditional and creative ways in 18 designs.
The simple instructions for these sweaters and cardigans for adults and children are easy to follow thanks to clear knitting charts. These beautiful sweaters were photographed in the magnificent natural surroundings of Lapland.
