From Norway to the outermost edge of Finland: a magical journey to the land of the Northern Lights
In the far north of Europe, above the Arctic Circle, lies a very special region: Lapland. Stretching from northwest Norway to the extreme northwestern tip of Russia, this area, with its dense forests, rugged highlands, and mountainous coast, is a truly aspirational landscape that captivates many people. In this illustrated book on Scandinavia, nature photographer Bernd Römmelt portrays the fascinating beauty of this unique region. In striking photographs, he captures Lapland's wild nature throughout all seasons, documents the unique play of color and light of the midnight sun and the northern lights, and visits the Sámi people living in Lapland, who have deep roots in the region.
An impressive illustrated book for nature lovers and a unique photographic portrait of the wild north of Scandinavia.
