The colorful celestial spectacle of the Northern Lights has always fascinated people. In over 150 breathtaking images, he depicts the ever-changing play of colors of the Aurora Borealis and, in personal essays, explains the fascination of this captivating natural spectacle, which is surrounded by many myths and legends. Magical moments that bring the Northern Lights to life.
In addition, the reader receives tips for taking photographs in the polar nights of the far north.

The well-known author has published over thirty illustrated books. Several of his images have won awards in the world's most important and prestigious nature photography competition, Wildlife Photographer of the Year. Knesebeck's most recent publication is Natural Wonders of the Bavarian Alps.
