The sweater should be hand-washed with a mild wool detergent. Often, airing the garment outdoors is sufficient instead of washing it.

A metal zipper allows for versatile wear. When opened, the neckline can be folded back, while when closed, it offers additional protection around the neck.

Icelandic wool is warm, pleasantly temperature-regulating, extremely robust, and, thanks to the natural fat content of the wool fibers, also has a moisture-repellent effect. The wool undergoes minimal processing, thus preserving its natural properties. The energy for processing the wool comes exclusively from hydropower or geothermal energy.

When the Vikings settled in Iceland more than 1,000 years ago, they brought flocks of their Nordic sheep with them. Under the influence of the changeable Arctic climate, a unique breed emerged. The coat of these sheep consists of two distinct layers: the extra-long outer coat protects the sheep from wind, storms, snow, and rain, while the fine, soft, and unusually airy undercoat provides excellent protection against the cold.
These two types of wool are spun into a yarn that is particularly fluffy, warm and light.
