Thomas Härtrich studied photography in Leipzig. He has been a freelance photographer in Leipzig since 1981 and was co-owner of the photography agency "transit" from 1991 to 2012. His main areas of work are reportage and travel photography for magazines and publishers. Scandinavia, especially Norway, is his great passion. He has been traveling regularly in the Far North for over 20 years.

Martin Schmidt was born in Erfurt in 1973. After studying geography in Halle (Saale), he founded the office "Norwegen-Service" (www.norwegenservice.net) there. He is a Norwegian teacher, author of several travel guides and language books, and also works as a tour guide in Scandinavia. He has been traveling to Norway for many years at different times of the year and is continually fascinated by the country's diverse facets.
