Marie Krause , born in 1984, loves everything to do with DIY! She lives in Hamburg with her five children, her husband, and their Golden Retriever, Finni. In addition to her wonderful, sometimes slightly chaotic family life, she works as a pediatric nurse in intensive care. She also pursues her greatest passion: sewing. Over the years, she has created her own patterns and is already selling them successfully. During her research for the Christmas season, she was incredibly excited to discover the idea of ​​making elves for her children.
True to the motto "Just do it, it might turn out well," she gradually created miniature everyday objects using the simplest of means. She dedicated a dedicated Instagram page to her elf, quickly developing a small community, lots of positive feedback, and a great deal of interest in the instructions. This is how the idea for the book was born.
