Sven Nordqvist , born in 1946 in southern Sweden, originally studied architecture. His first picture book, about Pettersson and Findus, was published in 1984.
Susanne Lütje, born in 1970, studied in Hamburg and has worked for the NDR talk show, as a translator and proofreader, and writes children's books, screenplays and plays.
Betina Gotzen-Beek, born in Mönchengladbach in 1965, studied painting and graphic design and now works as a freelance illustrator. She has published numerous children's and young adult books with great success and original style. She lives in Freiburg with her husband, son, and cat.

Betina Gotzen-Beek, born in Mönchengladbach in 1965, studied painting and graphic design and now works as a freelance illustrator. She has published numerous children's and young adult books with great success and original style. She lives in Freiburg with her husband, son, and cat.
Eva Eriksson, born in Sweden in 1949, began writing and illustrating picture books after the birth of her children. She has received several awards, including the European Youth Literature Prize.
Kitty Crowther, born in Brussels in 1970, studied graphic design and has been publishing picture books since 1994. In 2010, she was awarded the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Prize (ALMA).
