Classic wooden yachts, restored and renovated, are en vogue: classic boat meetings in Scandinavia , Germany and the Mediterranean are very popular.

The focus of "Yacht Classic" is on the classic yachts of Northern Europe , but also on the boats on Lake Constance or Chiemsee.

The captions for the images by Nico Krauss , who has made a name for himself as a photographer of classic yachts throughout Europe, were written by YACHT editor Fridtjof Gunkel . The journalist not only describes the vessels Krauss photographed, but also provides information about where the photographs were taken.

Nico Krauss, born in Hamburg in 1967, trained in advertising after graduating from high school, studied humanities, completed an internship at a water sports magazine, and became a self-taught photographer. He then worked as an assistant to reportage and fashion photographers, and since 1998 has been a freelance photographer specializing in maritime and landscape photography for magazines, PR, and advertising.
He runs a photo studio and a gallery in his hometown of Hamburg and has already published several books and calendars with his extraordinary sailing photographs.
